She says that she'll wait for him, no matter how long it takes. Rahul goes home with Kaali and starts living with her in his old house, which has not been maintained for years. He meets his mother (Manorama) and father (Nizhalgal Ravi) who are surprised to see him alive after years of believing he was dead. Meanwhile, he comes across the research of Dr. Aravind (Prakash Raj), who is gradually recovering the lost memories of patients suffering from amnesia by using music that is related to their past memories. The doctor suggests trying this method on Rahul because it might help him regain his memory completely. Rahul starts to regain his memory by listening to his favourite singers' songs. He remembers that he is the don of the city's underworld and that Kaali was actually sent by Bala (Brahmaji), one of his bosses, to take care of him. He also recalls that he had an accident which caused him to lose both his memory and his sight. Kaali says she will tell Bala so Rahul can fight against them if he thinks she is betraying him. Rahul thinks she means the gangsters who are out to kill him but Kaali tells him that Bala wants her hand in marriage, something which Rahul would never accept.
